RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Technical Support Representative you will be required to perform the following duties:
- Effectively understand, assess and take personal ownership to resolve a wide variety of customer questions.
- Process incoming orders and quotes accurately and efficiently.
- Support and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction, identify forecast needs, and gather market intelligence.
- Accept coaching and feedback.
- Trouble shoot returned items to identify root cause of failure.
- Provide technical support to end-users.
- Identify target markets, gathering information for market analysis and industry specific needs.
- Research and track competition’s new products and services.
- Calling potential and existing customers to gather information for market analysis.
- Provide various marketing functions: Quote follow-up, forecasting, surveys and market analysis.
- Identify product options and up-selling of support products.
- Complete clerical tasks such as scanning, copying and database maintenance.
- Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Ideal candidate has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within electronic manufacturing.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering concepts.
- Ability to articulate complex issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Skills to learn and utilize software used for organization and information gathering. Proficient with Windows Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Possess leadership skills and ability to be led in a manner that is healthy to our positive and productive work environment.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Utilizes a wide degree of creativity and latitude, self-motivated and independent worker, intuitive and inquisitive.

As a Server Administrator you will be performing, but not limited to the following duties:
- Resolve server software and hardware issues in a timely and professional manner
- Perform server software and hardware maintenance
- Install and configure server applications
- Recommend, assemble and install custom and/or pre-built servers
- Respond to service/problem requests
- Brainstorm ideas to streamline processes within the help desk system and in other areas that IT is involved
- Execute IT policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft workstation operating systems.
- Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and Active Directory.
- Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot the following Microsoft products: Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Exchange 2003, IIS 5/6, ASP.net web applications, MSSQL 2005, DNS, Active Directory, DHCP, SharePoint.
- Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot the following Linux software packages: Apache, MySQL, PHP, UltraMonkey/Linux-HA. Knowledge of the Gentoo Linux distribution is a plus.
- Ability to compile and install Linux applications with specified compile options.
- Ability to configure and administer disparate VoIP phone systems.
- Strong multi-tasking skills; completes several concurrent tasks in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Ability to keep up in a fast paced, high challenge environment with limited supervision.
- Aptitude and desire for new knowledge; keeps knowledge and skills current.

Embedded Systems Design Engineer/Electronic Design with FPGAs

JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Electronic Hardware / Firmware Design Engineer to design & develop new products for the motion control, robotics, automation, and sensor industries. Please only apply if you are very strong in both hardware and firmware design.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Must be proficient and efficient designing digital hardware and writing VHDL code for FPGAs using Xilinx tools as well as writing real-time firmware for microcontrollers using C and assembly languages. Some analog hardware design is a plus.
- Must have schematic capture and PCB layout experience, preferably using Altium PCAD tools.
- Must be up to speed using the newest and most efficient programming tools and have a desire to learn new tools and languages.
- Must be able to research effectively, whether it’s finding the best fit part, or researching the best solution to a problem.
- Must be proficient using a variety of test equipment, such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Microprocessor emulators and debuggers.
- Must be a great creative problem solver, exercise good judgment, and have good sense to select the most practical components and firmware routines, design schematics, and develop products that are designed for testability and manufacturability.
- Must have a strong programming background authoring well written, well documented, modular and clean code.
- Must be able to develop thorough and concise functional and design specifications as well as easily readable end-user documentation.
- Must be well organized, a good communicator, able to effectively prioritize tasks, and manage your projects from concept to production.
- Must be well able to brainstorm with others, thrive in a collaborative team environment, multi-task, and quickly adapt to change.
The following experiences are not required, but are considered advantages: Experience designing motor controllers, motor drivers, position sensors, products utilizing the PCI bus, USB 2.0, machine vision design, and device drivers for Windows or Linux.
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree in related area and at least 10 years of hardware and software design experience.
- Proficient in mixed-signal circuit simulation using PSPICE or other simulation tools.
- Schematic capture and PCB layout experience, preferably using Altium PCAD tools.
- Proficient in new product design utilizing FPGAs and efficient VHDL (Xilinx experience is a plus).
- Experience designing motor controllers, motor drivers, position sensors, products utilizing the PCI bus, USB 2.0.
- Proficient in assembly languages and C programming of real-time embedded systems.
- Some DSP firmware design, ASIC design experience, and Visual Basic experience would be a plus.
- Able to use a variety of test equipment, such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Microprocessor emulators and debuggers.
- Knowledgeable of ISO 9000 product development standards.
- Demonstrated organized approach to designing products for efficiency and ease of understanding; such as documentation standards and use of software version control tools.
- Experience working directly with customers.

Electronic Design Test Engineer and Problem Solver

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design practical methods to automatically and thoroughly test our electronic products.
- Design schematics and test fixtures, lay out PC Boards.
- Efficiently write clean, well documented test programs using Visual Basic software.
- Test and troubleshooting to the component level and repair boards.
- Provide early feedback to the production line to catch any problems early and insure in-process quality.
- Identify problem sources and help orchestrate changes that eliminate repeat problems.
- Serve as a facilitator and bridge for good communication and collaboration between production processes and engineering.
- Generate instructions for production staff and feedback for engineering to improve quality, testability, and manufacturability of products.
- Evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair returned products, and communicate with customers to discover and explain the probable cause and remedy of failures.
- Surface Mount Assembly Line: Cooperate with our operator and learn to set up new boards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a strong background, ability, and experience to efficiently carry out the tasks itemized in the above job description.
- Must have a very good understanding of analog and digital electronics.
- Must be skilled in designing and assembling test fixtures, including hardware and software.
- Be proficient using oscilloscopes, DVM’s and other hand-held test equipment.
- Experience and knowledge of FPGAs, VHDL, C, and Assembly Languages are not required, but significant advantages.
- Understanding of ISO 9000 product development standards is a plus.
